Emil Kihlström is a Helsinki based actor who graduated from the Theater Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2020. Kihlström’s most prominent appearances so far have been in the streaming service C More’s Nokia -series, Mobile 101, and the internationally acclaimed short film, Primal Therapy. In Theatre Kihlström has worked in the Helsinki, Vaasa and Seinäjoki City theaters and Hamburg’s own Thalia Theater.

With a background in dance and sword fighting, Kihlström is physically talented and suited for roles requiring physical ability. In addition to this, Kihlström speaks English on a native level. Besides acting, Kihlström also writes and directs comedy. His latest piece, a philosophical dark comedy, The Punchline – Fear of Death and Some Light Cannibalism, premiered in Theater Jurkka in 2021 to outstanding reviews.

At the moment Kihlström is most interested in working on camera, whether it be in English or Finnish. As his particular strengths Kihlström sees an understanding of the rhythm of comedy, his physical ability and the English language.
