Truls thrives in most parts of the cinematic workflow, but writing and directing is extra close at heart. His writing does often flirt with elements of heightened reality. If so done by the involvement of unreal creatures or just by merely spicing up peoples behaviours to illuminate a phenomenon. Although, at the core of his scripts are characters to tell a story filled with connections and references to every day life - just not told quite the way every day life use to tell it.
