Eeva Putro is a Finnish multilingual actress and screenwriter, fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English, and Russian. She completed her MA in film and theatre acting at St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Arts in 2008 and MA in Screenwriting at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2019.

Eeva Putro has performed in numerous film and theatre productions, including several roles at the Finnish National Theatre. She is known for feature films like “Tove” (2020, Finland), “Breeder” (2020, Denmark), “Gone” (2019, Finland), “Innuendo” (2017, Australia, Finland), “The Unknown Soldier” (2017, Finland). She also starred in the short film ”Sirocco” that won the Grand Prix at the Odense Film Festival in 2013.

Eeva Putro’s first feature film as a Screenwriter is a biopic “Tove”, sold to over 50 countries, including the USA, and was Oscar entry of Finland in 2021. Putro was nominated for her script for both the Jussi Award and Sylvi Award, of which she won the Sylvi Award 2021. Previously her short film “Buying a Dildo” won the audience award at Out Here Now Kansas City LGBT Film festival (USA) 2013.
